BR: Gone By: Michael Grant

DESCRIPTION:
In the blink of an eye. Everyone disappears. GONE.
Except for the young. Teens. Middle schoolers. Toddlers. But not one single adult. No teachers, no cops, no doctors, no parents. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened.
Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents—unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers—that grow stronger by the day.
It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: On your birthday, you disappear just like everyone else...

REVIEW: 2 STARS
COVER: The cover drew me in, on the spot. Mostly because the model boy is kinda cute. And the title did it because i had seen the other two books in the series and they looked alike.
BOOK: I only picked this book up at my local library because i had seen the sequels highly praised for and I now know why. The 1st in the Gone series is a terrific book, i did find some problems with it but thats only my opinion. At first i didn't think I'd like the book because it sounded ... stupid, but once i started reading i mentally(ever so slightly) slapped my brain for thinking that. When you pick it up you'll either love it and be totally engrossed with it or you'll be bored and go jump on a trampoline or something like that. If you stayed through the book far you'll be good with it for 65% of the book and then you can either get bored (again) and put it down or you can continue. There is some slight romance in this book along with some violence. It's alittle creepy at first but it grows on you.
GENRE(s): YA, supernatural,
